What You’ll Do:
As a Painter, you’ll be a key player in our painting process, collaborating with a dynamic and skilled team. Your mission: to blast, prime and paint top-of-the-line service vehicles and watercarts, plus a range of other Shermac products. Your craftsmanship will ensure that every component and material is expertly finished to the highest quality and best timeframe, resulting in superior products that consistently exceed our standards and customer expectations.
- Full Time + O/T opportunities.
- $35 – $40 p/hr + penalty rates – pending experience.
- Monday – Thursday + Optional Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Mix paint to correct consistency.
- Follow standard blasting techniques.
- Apply undercoat, tank liner and topcoat to all modules and components as required to meet and exceed quality standards.
- Perform body filling and repair work as needed.
- Mask bodies for painting and blasting.
- Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free workshop.
- Support safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
- Stock control using Kanban system.
- Assist in quality control – collaborate with Team Leaders to perform inspections and checks on finished products.
- Due to the nature of the work, you may work shifts between 6am and 6pm.

What You’ll Need:
Proven industry experience in a similar position within vehicle painting and preparation.
Current forklift license.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confined Space ticket.
Working at Heights ticket.
Minimum ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
