Our service trucks are built to handle any challenge – custom designed and extensively tested to ensure they perform, even in the harshest and most remote environments.
Whether you need to service bore fields, minor plant, fixed plant, or large mining plant, we’ll design and engineer a vehicle to meet your specifications and operational requirements – a refined workhorse that’s the ultimate, reliable, user-friendly, on-site service solution – for delivery anywhere across Australia.
Shermac vehicles are designed specifically with usability and maintenance requirements in mind. We understand that for operators, controls and storage areas that are ergonomic, easily usable, reachable and cleanable are of significant advantage.
Based on our consultation with you, we’ll design and manufacture your service truck, ensuring it’s built for your specific purpose and is perfectly equipped to meet any challenge in the field. Shermac don’t try ‘shoe-horn’ you into a standard design that is not suited for your application.
Shermac actively optimises operator ergonomics and safety on all its vehicles. All of our trucks are built to Australian Standards and are packed with safety features such as spill control kits, ROPS, emergency stops, fire extinguishers and safety railings to ensure safe and reliable operation for the operator.
We stand by the reliability of our products, the components we use and our ability to service what we sell. Every element in every truck we design has been engineered to perform with heavy-duty use in the harshest conditions. Take our tanks, for example, which feature curved sides to provide extra integrity.
HIGH FLOW DIESEL
We understand fuel delivery rates can be a cause for concern on mine sites, where time equals money and any downtime, planned or unplanned is an area of high scrutiny. The high flow diesel system on Shermac’s service trucks are designed to drastically reduce machinery downtime by reducing refuelling times, hence
increasing productivity.
WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
All of our vehicles are designed and engineered to maximize the truck chassis capacity, but stay within the boundaries of the law and the vehicle ratings. Our knowledge on road rules, weight restrictions and loading limits is applied to every service truck builds here at Shermac.
SERVICE ACCESS
Our user-friendly access stairs and railings are designed to AS 1657-1992, and provide safe and efficient access to service filter units from the top of the module.
DISPENSING SYSTEMS
Hydraulic or pneumatic dispensing systems are fitted in an enclosed compartment with a one-piece swing-up door that provides robust security, weather protection, and shade for the operator. Hose reels can be pneumatic, hydraulic, or spring rewind.
REFILL SYSTEM
We’ve engineered our trucks to make refilling simple and easy, with conveniently placed remote fill points.
STORAGE
All of our truck designs maximise storage space, with ample room for filters and tools in secure, weatherproof lockers.
LIGHTING
Configure the lighting solution that’s right for your operations. We offer LED combination lights (high and low level), courtesy lights in the reel compartment and spare storage area on the left side, as well as operational HID work light solutions.
PAINT/APPEARANCE
Specify your vehicle’s colour. We blast and paint using a quality two-pack paint system internally and externally, with optional corrosion protection systems for operation in corrosive site conditions.
REMOTE HYDRAULIC REEL RETRACT
The optional remote hydraulic reel retract is fitted for ease of use and greatly eliminates nozzle damage, increasing the life of the hose and nozzles.
FILTRATION SYSTEM
We understand the high standards of purity required for the fluids in today’s diesel engines and the need for effective filtration in fluid delivery systems. The optional filtration system is engineered to deliver high standards of filtration, with filter units able to be serviced easily and safely from the top of the module.
TANK GAUGE SYSTEM
Optional sonar tank level gauge system fitted, meaning the operator can tell by the click of a button exactly what all the tank levels are.
FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Optional fluid management systems can measure all hydrocarbons against each machine and the fluids. This greatly improves the traceability of your operation.
GREASE PRESSURE RELEASE SYSTEM
This optional system can be fitted to remotely release pressure in the grease line, which will eliminate injuries associated with high-pressure grease.
Then we can develop an engineered-for-purpose solution that minimises operational downtime and costs to maximise your project productivity and performance.
